Having graduated from Glasgow University with little idea of which path to take, Liz began working for the widely acclaimed Ubiquitous Chip restaurant as Assistant General Manager and quickly developed a keen interest in wine. After achieving the WSET higher certificate, Liz joined Alliance in 1996 combining her wine knowledge and language skills to good effect.   As Alliance has grown, so has her role and she is now responsible for buying from Chile, Argentina, France and USA and having passed the WSET Diploma, Liz is now tackling the MW course. 

Apart from wine, Liz has a keen interest in art, reading and music and likes to travel which is just as well given the amount of time she spends visiting the vineyards and wineries in the countries from which she buys.
