When travelling through Spain, we often taste wonderful wines that we would love to bring to a wider audience but something stops us. In a market too often dominated by big brands, our business heads persuade us that we shouldn’t buy them.
But then something much more powerful takes hold and whether it is because of Lust, Greed, Gluttony or Envy, we just have to buy them.
Each Los Pecadillos wine is a reflection of a particular region and is produced so that each “little sin” is linked to a particular wine. The first wine to be released was Lujuria (Lust) a Graciano Garnacha from Navarra. This was followed by Invidia (Envy), Verdejo Sauvignon Blanc from Rueda and Orgullo (Pride), from Rioja.
Early 2009 will see the launch of the fourth wine, Pereza (Sloth), an Old Vine Garnacha Rosado

Invidia (Envy), Los Pecadillos
Once a vinous backwater, Rueda is now the envy of all of Spain for its ability to produce vibrant, grassy, tangy white wines. This is a crisp, dry white packed with aromatic grapefruit, guava and nectarine fruit character. |

Lujuria (Lust), Los Pecadillos
Lust may well be superficial and ephemeral but it is often an important pre-cursor to true love. This delicious, succulent young red from Navarra has all the attractiveness of youth but the silky, perfumed berry fruit character will ensure that the attraction lasts longer than Lust |

Orgullo (Pride), Los Pecadillos
This deliciously succulent Rioja is brim full of ripe damson fruit overlaid with smoky oak. Well balanced, concentrated and supple with a vanilla laced, juicy finish. |
