Brand new to the portfolio in 2008 is this top rate producer from the fashionable Paso Robles region of California’s Central coast. Home to the “Rhone Ranger” movement and made famous by people such as Paul Draper’s Ridge Winery, Paso Robles makes cracking Zinfandel and Syrah as well as some pretty smart Chardonnay and Viognier. Celebrating its 25th year in 2008, Eberle recently featured on Oz Clarke’s television adventures and has long been one of the most awarded wineries in the country.

Meaning “small boar”, Eberle is fronted by the eponymous Gary Eberle who was fundamental to the setting up of the Paso Robles appellation and is a passionate believer in the qualities of this region. |

Viognier “Mill Road Vineyard”
Gary Eberle’s Viognier is not exactly shy and retiring! A big wine in all respects with ripe honeysuckle, apricot and spice on the nose followed by a richly textured palate of fragrant stone fruits and subtle hints of creamy oak. |

Chardonnay Estate Bottled
This classic Californian chardonnay comes from the Central Californian coastal region of Paso Robles. It is deliciously rich and rounded with ripe melon and apricot fruit overlaid with spicy oak. |

Syrah “Steinbeck Vineyard”
This is a dense, muscular Syrah from the cool Central Coast region of California called Paso Robles that shows concentrated black fruits coupled with liquorice, spice and cedar notes. The palate is slick, mellow and savoury with ample dark ripe fruit. |

Zinfandel “Steinbeck Bush Vineyards”
Eberle have been producing wines for 25 years in what is California’s best region for Zinfandel. Paso Robles in the central coast of California has become synonymous with deep, spicy, brambly Zinfandels that have elegance, power and fruit all the way through. |

Cabernet Sauvignon Vineyard Selection
Eberle’s Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from a number of top sites, all of which produce concentrated, low yielding fruit. The result is a deep, rich but balanced Cab with heaps of cassis, leather and spice on the nose. The palate is structured, silky smooth and filled with black olive, cassis and cassis fruit. |
