A fresh breeze has been sweeping through the 300 year old baroque wine cellar of Domäne Wachau for the past three years. Under the new, young team headed by general manager Roman Horvath and enologist Heinz Frischengruber, Domäne Wachau has established itself among Austria’s leading wineries.

Domäne Wachau’s handcrafted wines from the steep terraced vineyards reflect the area’s inimitability.   The wines are vinified with conscientious focus on terroir and express the mineral character derived from the primary rock soils of the Wachau.

Whether an elegant Federspiel or a monumental Smaragd, the Grüner Veltliner and Riesling wines are brought to perfection in the historic wine cellar.

		Grüner Veltliner, Wachau Collection Fresh, fruity and youthful. Classic Grüner with aromas of white pepper and grapefruit.
		Grüner Veltliner Federspiel, Terrassen A perfect and versatile food wine. Delicious, marked white pepper, grapefruit and citrus aromas, elegant and long on the palate.
		Grüner Veltliner Smaragd, Terrassen rom later harvested fruit this is dry on the pallet but has greater weight and intensity. Complex, long and beautifully balanced.
		Riesling Smaragd, Terrassen Profound and intense aromas with hints of exotic fruit and spice. Minerality on the palate, knife edge balance and a sensationally long elegant, refined finish.
		Pinot Blanc Federspiel, Terrassen Hints of fruit blossom and spice on the nose, the palate is gentle and rounded with attractive fruit flavours and touches of spice.
		Grüner Veltliner Smaragd, Achleiten Sensational Grüner from a single vineyard site. Refined and elegant but powerful and complex at the same time. Flavours of white pepper and spice, grapefruit and blossom with a mineral edge and beautiful balance.
		Riesling Smaragd, Singerriedel From the legendary Singerriedel vineyard this is a wine of wonderful finesse and complexity. Exotic fruit flavours and spice, structure and minerality, lovely poise and intensity.
		Trockenbeerenauselese, Riesling Kellerberg Produced in tiny quantities this is a luscious sweet wine with incredible flavours of marmalade, spice and rich fruit but with perfect levels of acid to balance and refresh the palate.
		Zweigelt, Domäne Wachau A generous and rich red with aromas of red berries and a touch of liquorice. Fine, attractive tannin and a long finish.
