The Brusset family has been producing wine in the Southern Rhône since 1947 when André, the grandfather of the current winemaker Laurent, first established the domaine.

Now the vineyards extend to around 85 hectares and the domaine's reputation spreads worldwide.

Each generation, with their different experiences and techniques has contributed to the success of Domaine Brusset. The common factor between all of them has been an amazing attention to detail and a willingness to adopt new techniques in partnership with traditional "savoir faire."

It is Brusset's red wines which have attracted most attention, notably the two wonderful, extracted and powerful Gigondas from terraced vineyards below the Dentelles de Montmirail. The Cairanne "Côteaux des Travers" is a full, rich and earthy wine with great character. .The straight Côtes du Rhône is a real delight, warm, ripe and full of spicy fruit.

The wines are produced from around 60% Grenache blended with a combination of Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan and Cinsault. Destemmed and fermented for 8 to 10 days at 28 degrees. The two Gigondas are matured in new oak

		COTES du RHONE, Domaine Brusset One of the masters of the Southern Rhone, Brusset make impeccably crafted wine that is much admired. A medium bodied red with juicy strawberry Grenache fruit and the more spicy, inky Syrah.
		Cotes du Rhone Villages Cairanne "Coteaux des Travers" Domaine Brusset Hailing from the village of Cairanne, this wine has soft, rich, spicy fruit character offset by well judged, never obtrusive oak ageing. Soft, approachable tannins and a warm, generous texture make for an appealing, savoury style.
		GIGONDAS, "Le Grand Montmirail" A remarkable producer of wines that are currently very much "en vogue". A brilliant vintage produced a strong, powerful wine that requires substantial meat dishes to balance it. Savoury, concentrated and very long, this is a stunning wine.
		Gigondas "Les Hauts de Montmirail" Domaine Brusset The finest cuvee from Brusset and one of the finest examples of its type, Les Haut is produced from vines grown in the low yielding, high altitude sites of Les Dentelles de Montmirail, the characterful mountain range of the region. Immensely concentrated, intense, well balanced, savoury and very long. Truly wonderful.
