After graduating from university, George worked as a typographic designer in London. He made an instant decision to change his career after having an epiphany visiting Ribera del Duero. He took the WSET Advanced Certificate in his spare time and then joined H&H Bancroft, where he developed a profound love for the wines from the Loire Valley and Spain.

Whilst at H&H Bancroft George studied for his WSET Diploma. After a couple of years, he moved to Bibendum, where he worked in their London On-Trade division.
George joined Alliance in March 2009 and will work alongside Alexis Gouk to develop our presence in the London On-Trade sector where he will no doubt spread and share his enthusiasm and knowledge of wine.
George lives in London. In his spare time he can be found in the capital’s clubs, concert halls and museums satisfying his fanatical passion for jazz, art and design. He enjoys travelling and on occasion makes a feeble attempt to keep fit by jogging in Victoria Park.
