Burgundy gets a Boost
After exhaustive tastings in France and the office we are proud to announce a few new gems to our growing Burgundy portfolio.
Domaine Dubreuil Fontaine
This 20 Ha family run estate was established in 1879 in the village of Pernand Vergelesses. The domaine is run with great attention to detail and the wines display this across the board, from the classy Bourgogne Chardonnay right up to the Corton Grand cru. Currently exclusive to Alliance in the UK we are very enthusiastic about this Domaine and hope you will be too.
Domaine Forey
A last minute appointment proved very worth while when we met Regis Forey and tried his wines. Based in Vosne Romanee this is a 9.5ha property which dates back to 1840. The wines show lovely balance and are excellent value for money.
Domaine Courtault
As we grow Alliance are always in need of good small domaine Chablis and so jumped at the chance to list these wines. Jean Claude Courtault is a consultant to many other domaines across Chablis as well as making his own wines. Vigorous work in the vineyard and winery show in wines which have style and concentration.
Domaine Mestre-Michelot
This historic 22 ha domaine in Meursault has been reinvigorated by Jean Francois Mestre who became winemaker in 1993. All the wines are from vines with at least 25 years of age and are traditionally vinified. The style is rich and concentrated and the wines are not released until 2-3 years after bottling to ensure maximum enjoyment when uncorked. |
