Ventezolo Welcomes Visitors
Should you find yourself in the Douro region of Portugal then Quinta de Ventozelo have a warm welcome waiting for you. Bill Brogan of St Johns College Cambridge experienced this first hand when he led a group to the Quinta in November 2006. A tour of the steep terraced vineyards requires a 4 x 4 and is not for the faint hearted. The spectacular views of the 650ha estate and the surrounding Douro valley are definitely worth it.
A boat trip along the Douro follows in the afternoon which shows off the Quinta at its best. Finally a comprehensive tasting of the estate bottled wines and Ports rounds off an impressive day.
