A New Era...
Begins in the history of Alliance Wine with the announcement that we are opening a subsidiary company in Adelaide, Australia. This is an exciting step for us and for all of our customers - all of whom will benefit from being one step closer to the source and in the flexibility and dynamism that the new company will bring to the market.
| As if that wasn't exciting enough, we have been extremely lucky to secure the services of the revered, ex Nepenthe head winemaker, Peter Leske as director of Alliance Wine Australia. As winemaker for Nepenthe, Leske has built up an enviable reputation for being a brilliant, technical winemaker with a very high degree of respect within the trade. His talents and contacts will certainly help Alliance react to the ever changing market. |

The first brand to be developed by Alliance Wine Australia is a new entry point range of wines called One Chain Vineyards. One Chain measures 22 yards—the length of a cricket pitch. Loosely linked to cricket, the restrained packaging is given a quirky touch by using terms such "the googly" as individual wine names. The range opens with a Chardonnay and a Shiraz Cabernet that will be gracing our shores in February........ |
