Robert Parker’s TwoHanded Applause!

Much as we’d sometimes like to dismiss Robert Parker’s influence on the U.K market, recent events have suggested that he still has an important role to play in the fine wine market.

The recently released scores on top Australian wines was a triumph for Two Hands and has resulted in a huge surge of both interest and sales across the range. The extremely rare Ares 2002 was described as “almost perfect” with a score of 98 points, the Garden series wines fared similarly with the 2002 Lily’s Garden the highest pointer on 96.

Indeed, all of Two Hands wines scored very highly, reinforcing the quality of the range and the attention to detail paid to wines at all levels. A review by Parker does however carry risks – high demand can lead to inflated prices but we believe that Two Hands will take a long term view and continue to be realistic in their pricing policy – great news to hear.

More great news for Two Hands fans is the first U.K releases of the 2003 wines, along with our first chance to get hold of magnums and double magnums of many of the wines. We have put together an opening offer on the 2003 wines as we know that demand will be very high; stocks of the 2002 wines are either very low or non-existant. Look out for the offer on its way to you shortly……

We’re also going to see the first U.K release of the Two Hands associated label, Branson. Just two wines will be available, the Branson Greenock Block Shiraz and the Branson Coach House. Both are Parker favourites and interest is already very strong.

Here’s to more accolades for Two Hands in 2005!
