IT'S ZIN THE BOTTLE

Pardon the pun but Argentina's first Zinfandel is in the bottle and over here. Produced by the irrepressible Jose Zuccardi, the Santa Rosa Zinfandel 2002 is a belter of a wine with some 14.5% alcohol, thick with ripe blueberry fruit and a rich, muscular feel.

No shrinking violet but then again, it is a Zinfandel! Fantastic value and a real crowd pleaser.

Also new from Santa Rosa are two new price fighting blends to join the already successful Tempranillo Bonarda and Chenin Torrontes. Our new wines are Chenin Chardonnay and Sangiovese Bonarda- the white is fresh, well rounded and full of ripe apple and pineapple fruit. Very easy on the palate as well as the pocket. The red is soft yet savoury with cherry and dried fruit character, soft tannins and a nice juicy finish.
