Do you supply direct to the public?

In situations where there is no local stockist (see Stockist List), Alliance can supply direct to the office or home. Please ring the sales office on 01505 506 060 to place orders. Lists of stockists can be found on each of the individual producer profiles & within the Wine Finder tab above.

How often would you deliver to me?

Alliance Wine prides itself in having the very best levels of service. We use a network of tried and trusted carriers throughout the U.K to ensure that the wine arrives with you intact and at the time specified. Deliveries will often be done next working day but normally will arrive on the 2nd day after the order is placed i.e Monday orders delivered on Wednesday. We reserve the right to make a small delivery charge for orders of less than 3 cases.

What is your minimum delivery?

The minimum delivery is three cases. However, we are a flexible company and will do our best to make sure that we can cater for your needs.

What promotions are you currently running?

Can I buy wines en primeur?

Do you have small packages of exclusive wines?

The nature of our supply base means that we often have small parcels of exclusive wines. These are not necessarily expensive, just exclusive. Keep an eye out in the newsletter for allocations or speak to your account manager.

Do you stock organic wines?

We are not an organic wine specialist though some of our wines are produced using organic methods or are certified organic. However, we do not buy wine just because it is organic. If we taste a wine and love it, we may buy it - if it's organic then all the better! Alliance Wine supports producers who work to reduce the use of chemicals to the bear minimum need to produce consistent, quality wine.

Which wines are exclusive to Alliance Wine?

Alliance Wine imports the vast majority of its extensive range direct from the producer. For many of these producers, we are the exclusive U.K distributor and agent. Wines listed in our Key Producers list represent the majority of these. Please see individual producer profiles for more information on products and availability.

Will Alliance design my wine list for me?

Alliance Wine has always been at the cutting edge of wine list production and design and offers the ability to produce quality lists quickly and at no cost to the client. These lists can be updated as regularly of as infrequently as the client desires. Please ask your account manager to see examples.

Can I have Own Label on my House Wine?

Alliance Wine is one of the leaders in supply of personalized House style wines and can supply to any requirements. We are also able to offer screen printed bottles in short runs, enabling the client to have a unique presentation but without the costs involved in large production runs.

How do I get to speak to someone about my requirements?

Would you help with staff training?

Alliance Wine is an accredited Investors in People and as such we take the training and development of staff seriously. We believe that wine training forms an integral part of the package that we can offer and it results in happier, more motivated staff and higher sales for both Alliance and the client. As such Alliance will provide training in all aspects of wine service and will provide regular, ongoing sessions in order to maintain levels of knowledge. Tailored, wine training packs can also be designed an implemented to heighten staff awareness of the business opportunities provided by wine.

How often do you change your range?

Our core ranges provide consistent, good quality and we try to avoid changing these too often to provide stability for our on-trade customers. However, our list does evolve throughout the year as our buyers search out spectacular new wines and details of these will be contained in the Alliance newsletter, "The Tasting Times"

What happens if my wine is out of stock?

Whilst we try to avoid out of stock situations, these do occasionally happen. The client will be offered a suitable replacement or the product can be marked as out of stock. If there is likely to be a more long term problem then your account manager will contact you.

Do you sell Ports and Cognac etc?

Yes, we have a range of Ports from ruby through to mature vintage ports. Please ask for the list or speak to your account manager. We do not carry a large range of spirits but we do stock Hennessy Cognacs as well as the very fine, more specialist cognacs of Pierre Ferrand. We also carry excellent Armagnac and Calvados as well as a superb range of fruit liqueurs including Crème de Cassis and Peche de Vigne.

Do your wines feature in retail outlets?

In general, our wines come from smaller producers who are not represented in the major multiples. This gives you, the client, the confidence that supermarket listings and promotions will not undermine your credibility. If a wine was to be represented on the high street, we will ensure that our clients are aware.

Do you stock older vintages?

We often have parcels of more mature wines so please ask. The speed with which the New World turns over vintages at the moment ensures that most wines are relatively young.

Do you have stock of Cru Classe Bordeaux?

We always have a large range of Bordeaux and more especially, Cru Classe wines in stock. Please ask for a current list.

Do you do bin end promotions?

Yes, we do have "bin end" promotions and these can be mailed or emailed, please contact your sales representative or the office for more information.

Can I buy under bond?

Yes, orders can be placed either under bond or duty paid on 01505 506 060. Please ask for the agency price list for details.

Can I buy ex-cellar?

Yes. We do not publish the ex-cellars prices in our lists but these are available and a proposal can be produced very quickly. Please contact your account manager for more details.

Can you send me a price list?

We certainly can! Please fill out and submit the information request form and we will mail out a price list immediately.

What discounts are available?

Alliance is a flexible organization and accepts that there sometimes has to be a compromise between supplier and customer! However, these matters should be dealt with by the account manager concerned who will be able to tailor a package to meet the clients needs.

Can you present tastings?

Most staff are wine enthusiasts and have a great knowledge and passion for their product. As such, we are more than capable of carrying out tastings, tutured or informal, small and intimate, or large and loud! In addition, it is sometimes possible for our resident Master of Wine, Giles Cooke, to present tastings for you.

Can I have copies of labels/pictures/tasting notes?

The supplier Key Producer pages have examples of labels, pictures and tasting notes. Please let us know if there is any other information that we can help you to acquire.
