Alliance
Wine Company was started in late 1984 by Christian Bouteiller
and Jonathan Kennett. Still majority shareholders, Christian
is Managing Director and Jonathan is chairman. Alliance began
as a small bespoke company servicing the needs of private
clients throughout Scotland. Soon the company grew to meet
the needs of the on trade and the foundations of today's company
were laid.
The portfolio
grew from a necessarily limited one (with an understandably
strong emphasis on classic French wine!) to the wide ranging,
unique and eclectic one that it is today. The purchasing ethos
of the company stems from listening to the needs of the on-trade
- a business that requires high quality, consistent wines
that offer something a little more unusual than the regular
high street options. Alliance therefore has always tried to
buy direct from source enabling us to control the distribution
whilst offering the customer both quality and value.

Today,
the range takes in most wine producing countries of
the world and offers wines from the most exclusive,
boutique producers through to large 'negociant' wines
- with everything in between!
It is an unashamedly eclectic portfolio and one of which
we are very proud. However, Alliance is never complacent
and we constantly seek out exciting new wines with which
to enrich our customers lists.

Our wines
count for nothing though unless we deliver them to you in one
piece and on time. To that effect Alliance has one of the most
efficient logistics set-ups in the industry. Our on-site bonded
facilities enable swift processing and despatch of orders which
are delivered via a network of tried and trusted couriers to
your restaurant, shop or office. Orders are tracked by the team
of sales administrators to ensure that the customer is satisfied
with the service.
Our high
levels of service are maintained by a strong, enthusiastic
team of field based sales people,
many of whom have been with Alliance for over 5 years.
At a
time when variety and individuality are under threat, Alliance
continues to forge ahead with an appealing blend of professionalism,
flexibility, humour, high levels of service and an exciting,
